Switching on the Ticket Co x Airship connector means that each time a customer makes a booking, the customer and booking data will be automatically sent to your Airship database.

The integration will run once per day, and bring all bookings with an attendance date within the next 30 days. The integration will also check the bookings from the previous day, to update any Cancelations / No shows.

Getting started

To get started, provide confirmation in writing to your Ticket Co Account Manager that your data can be shared with Airship.

From Ticket Co, you will need to request;

  • API Token (we'll need an authentication token)

  • A list of your venues names (as defined in the Ticket Co platform)

You will need to confirm to Airship;

  • If you want a historic import running, and what date to backfill data for

  • If you require any specific Groupings of contacts based on Ticket Co event tagging

Once this has been confirmed, we will be able to configure the integration.

What data is sent?

The following information will be sent and stored against the Airship customer profile;

  • First Name

  • Surname

  • Mobile number

  • Email address

  • Email Opt-in

  • Venue

  • Booking info

    • Reservation confirmation number

    • Reservation date/time

    • Enquiry date/time

    • Booking status

    • Booking source

    • Booking type

    • Party Size

    • Booking value

This data contributes to PoP (proof of presence).

Note, some of the above fields may be optional in the Ticket Co platform.

Groups

When a contact is added to Airship, it will be placed into a group against the booked venue, called Booking.

Additional groups can be configured, using Ticket Cos' Event tags - meaning whenever we see a customers booking with one of these tags, we will add that contact to a group of the same name in Airship. I.e. if you take bookings for Golf or Bowling, and the purchase is related to a defined tag - we can categorise the contacts into that group in Airship (i.e. Golf group)

If you would like contacts to be assigned a group based on event tags, please provide your Airship Customer Success contact a list of tags which we should look out for.

How it works

Once a day (early hours), we will request all reservations that have an attendance date within the next 30 days, and any bookings that had an attendance date of yesterday via the Ticket Co API.

When a booking is processed by Airship, we perform a check to see if the booking is New, or already exists. If the booking is new, we will;

  • Add / update the contact profile

  • Associate the booking to the contact profile

If the booking already exists, Airship will;

  • Update the booking details

Airship will not update a contact profile as part as a 'Booking update' action, to ensure that Airship doesn't inadvertently opt customers in after a booking is attended / updated.

View your data in Airship

Once the connector is enabled, you will be able to see data flowing into your Airship account, by navigating to Folders & Groups.

To access your Contact Folders in Airship, scroll down to “Contacts” in the main menu and select “Folders & Groups”.

Any data from Ticket Co will be visible in the group called Booking.

To view the booking data, open a contact record and click “View bookings”. This screen will show the booking record details for the customer.
