The Airship Feedback form allows you to create your own landing page for feedback collection.

There are two ways to start feedback. You can click 'Feedback' in the side navigation, and then click 'Create new form' in the top right. Or, you can head to forms, and click 'create new'. This will give you an option of creating a standard form, or a feedback form. Select Feedback form.

You can also find out all about Feedback in this video here

Getting Started

Click ‘Create new form’ and select ‘Feedback form’ (or you can choose to use or edit Airship’s pre-populated Feedback form that can be found in the Forms’ list)

Give your form a name and select a default Location you’d like to write the data to.

The "Group" name you specify here will allow you to view and target any contacts who submit this form. We recommend giving it a suitable name so you can easily find these contacts later.

Adding fields

You can choose the data you collect via your form by adding and removing fields.

Click to add new rows to your form (and optionally choose a layout to create a grid-style display of your fields).

You can then click into each cell of your layout to add a field into that area.

For each option you can enter:

  • Field title (which sites above the text box)

  • Placeholder (which sits within the text box)

  • Whether the field is mandatory or not.

Note that a form must have at least a mandatory email or mobile field before it can be used, so make sure you add one of those.

Guest Sentiment Score (GSS) field

This field allows the customers to rate the experience from 0 to 10.

Note that a placeholder should be clear and specific, for example, ‘How likely are you to recommend us to your friends and family?’.

Ratings field

You can also allow guests to rate Food, Drinks and Service. These all are based on a star rating (1 to 5) and need to be added as separate fields to the form, for example:

Comments field

This is a dynamic text field that allows guests to provide any additional comments they might have or would like to give feedback for.

Feedback Location Select field

You can also allow guests to choose a location that they'd like to give feedback for. Choose a "feedback location select" option, and configure whether to show all your locations as available options, or specific locations only:

Note that contacts will be added to both your default location AND the location they choose on this field. If you add a location field to your form, you'll probably want to set the default location for this form to your "head office" unit.

Customising and styling your form

Once you’re happy with the fields and layout of your form, you can customise and style it.

Choose from a variety of additional configuration options:

  • The subheading - You can use this to describe your form to your customers

  • What should happen when you submit your form? - It could show a thank you message for example

  • You can also add your privacy policy.

You can also style the text, button and background of your form. Under each of these sections, you'll see a preview of what your styling changes will look like.

Finish and Share

Once you’re happy with your Feedback form, don’t forget to save it!

You’ll then see an option to Share your form at the top of the page.

You will then have the options to:

  • Copy a direct link to your form (go ahead and use this link to go and preview your form now too!)

  • Copy and embeddable version, allowing you to drop into an existing page of your website

  • Copy a link to include in your email, this can be used for post-visit emails where you ask your guests to provide feedback on their experience.

Reporting

You can check the scores and responses received by guests. Go to the ‘Reports’ tab on Airship’s dashboard and select ‘Feedback’. There will be two reports available:

  • All feedback export (an export of all answers given on the feedback form where each row represents a submission)

  • Feedback summary report (an average, or summary, of each rating over the given time period)

Pick a date range you want the report for and then click ‘Run the Report’.

Dashboard

To access your Feedback Dashboard, click on the Feedback link on the left side of navigation. There you can see the average rating and the latest comments for the last 30 days as well as the link to the reports and the form itself. The graphs also show the averages for the five previous 30 day periods so you can track progress over time.
