What is Airship Rewards?
Airship Rewards is a great way to issue rewards to your guests, whether you’d like to gift a Toggle voucher or a code that links to your EPOS system you can do it all in Airship Rewards.
All Airship customers will automatically be moved across to “Rewards Light” which creates a simple profile for each of your guests & adds their rewards into the URL for easy access.
You can also upgrade to the full version of Airship Rewards which will allow you to create a more complex profile for your guests, within here you’ll be able to link out to your booking platforms, gifting pages etc as well as creating a preference page for you guests to fill out. Find out more about Airship Rewards here.
Below is our guide to create your own rewards within the Airship Dashboard! 🎉
The process is simple, but if you have any questions, our Support Team is always happy to help on success@airship.co.uk.
Getting Started
Setting up a reward
Go to Airship Dashboard > Rewards
You will be greeted with the below page, this shows any existing rewards, the option to search for these & the option to create a new reward. The below guide talks you through creating a new reward.
2. Type in a reward name, this is an internal name to help you identify the reward, it will also appear in the Special Links list in the email builder.
3. Choose the type of code you would like to use, our onboarding team will have preset these to show the options available for your account but if you’d like to add more below is a summary of the codes available.
Type of voucher codes available within Airship
Zonal – This allows you to send out Zonal voucher codes to your customers, these are generated via the Zonal voucher manager.
Comtrex – Generate and upload Comtrex codes. You’ll need a two-letter prefix (e.g. BB), which should be provided by Comtrex. Airship will need to map those codes on the backend so don’t forget to get in touch with us before you send your reward out so we can complete the set up.
Centegra – Generate and upload Centegra codes. You’ll need a three-digit prefix (e.g. 101), provided by Centegra, view our guide here.
Toggle – Issue free Toggle gift cards. Ensure you’ve got a product (Gift Card) set up on Toggle for this.
Toggle Promo – Generate and upload Toggle promo codes to give your guests a discount when purchasing one of your gift vouchers.Eagle Eye – Our success team has some additional setup to do if you’re using this code type. Get the campaign ID from Eagle Eye and email it to tech.success@airship.co.uk – we’ll handle the rest.
Vita Mojo – Upload Vita Mojo codes into the system, generate these within Vita Mojo first!
Airship – Generate Airship dummy codes, if you don’t see your EPOS system in our list you can still give our rewards using our Airship code system, read more about this here.
Roller – Generate codes, download them, and upload them into your Roller dashboard for seamless reward redemption.
UPLOAD Codes - If your EPOS can provide codes but you don’t see them on our list, this is the option to select.
4. Next, choose the style of reward you want to create, we’ve packaged these up to make your selection easier.
Campaign – One-time use reward, this is ideal for single-use offers or promotions.
Birthday – Create your annual birthday reward that automatically reissues every year. Great for including in your automated birthday emails.
Recurring – Create a multi-use reward with restrictions. For example, “one free coffee per week for 3 months.”
Evergreen – Create an ongoing reward that can be redeemed multiple times. Perfect for continuous offers like “20% off food for members.”
Welcome – Create a one-time reward triggered after sign-up, such as “free glass of prosecco for new subscribers.”
Anniversary – Similar to Birthday, this style reissues annually. Useful for celebrating customer sign-up anniversaries or loyalty milestones.
5. Once you’re happy with your selection click ‘Confirm’ and you will be taken to the next section - Validity.
6. Select how long the code should be valid for. A few things to note:
If you are running a one month campaign and want the code redeemed once in that time period, skip the first field and only enter start/end dates.
If you are running a Birthday/Anniversary offer, enter the number of days the code should be valid for and choose the end date to be far in the future, e.g. 2035 (you want the code to be reissued yearly so the campaign should be set to end well in advance)
If you are setting up a recurring code, make sure the validity rules are clear. For example, if I want to run an offer for one month and allow customers to redeem one code a week, the validity set up will look like this:
For Evergreen rewards, you only need to select start/end dates as the code will be reissued every time they click on the email.
7. Finally, select any units that need excluding from this offer (Head Office is automatically excluded).
8. Click ‘Confirm’ and you will be taken to the ‘Display’ Section.
This is where you can customise your reward, to include any T&Cs, a customer facing reward name & choose whether you’d like to include a QR code in your reward.
9. Add your customer facing reward name, an image, description, any T&Cs and whether a QR code is needed. Click Confirm.
Note - once you click confirm on this section you’ll no longer be able to make any changes to the “Basic” section, such as your code type & reward type.
10. You will be taken to the final section - Codes. What shows here will depend on which code type you’ve chosen in the beginning:
If you are generating codes, the screen will look like this and you’ll need to select the number of codes needed and a prefix (if applicable).
The limit of codes is 10,000 - don’t worry you can always generate a second or third batch if needed.
If you are uploading your own codes, the file of codes needs to be a csv format with one column and one code per row (see screenshot below).
Make sure you’ve removed any other detail from this file and the only thing showing is the codes column.
11. Once the codes are generated and uploaded, you will get a pop up with a reward URL link that you can now start adding into your emails. You can find more information on how rewards look like for your guests here
Checking the list of rewards
You can view all of your rewards within one place on the initial rewards page, here you can edit certain parts of each reward & check how many codes have been redeemed so far.
Each reward will have a live/inactive label that you can also filter by (click on Status and select which ones you want to see)
If you want to search for a specific reward, use the search bar at the top of the page.
Use ‘Order By’ if you want to see the list in a specific order, e.g. order by ‘start date’ if you want to see the most recent rewards.
Each reward will display some information:
Used - The number of codes already redeemed
Assigned - The number of codes that have been assigned (these are codes that the customer has claimed by clicking “use now” but hasn’t yet redeemed).
Expired - The number of codes that expired before they could be redeemed
Remaining - The number of codes that are still to be redeemed
Assumed Spend - This shows any assumed spend associated with this reward, this is calculated using the SPH you gave us during onboarding. For example if your SPH is £10 & 10 vouchers have been redeemed the number shown here will be £100
