Where to find Single Customer View 🔍
Log into your Airship account and click on Segments in the left menu, then Single Customer View.
What is Single Customer View? 🤔
Single Customer View lets you see several segments side by side, so you can compare them at a glance.
To create a Segment, go to Segments > Create & manage.
You can add your segments into here so that you can see each of them as an individual card, with a set of stats underneath. To do this just click on the 3 dots at the end of your segment once you've created it:
This makes it easy to compare things like:
How big two segments are compared to each other
Which one is growing or shrinking
How much guests in each segment tend to spend
It's a quick way to check in on the groups of guests you care about most, without clicking in and out of each segment one at a time.
Arranging your Single Customer View
You can rearrange the order of your Segments within the Single Customer View to make it easier for you to compare your different segments. Simply grab the top left hand corner of the card you want to move and drag it to it's new position - no need to save any changes as this is done automatically.
Reading a segment card 📊
Every card on the Single Customer View page shows the same set of information for that segment:
% of base - how big this segment is compared to your whole customer base
Segment movement - how the segment's size has changed over the last 7, 14, 30, 60 and 90 days
Avg spend per visit - the average amount guests in this segment spend each time they visit
Customers - how many guests are currently in the segment
Value / Customer - the average value of each guest in the segment
Total visits - the total number of visits made by guests in this segment
Avg visits - the average number of visits per guest
Avg tenure - how long, on average, guests in this segment have been in your database
Avg age - the average age of guests in this segment
Click-to-visit - on some cards, you'll also see this, which shows how often a marketing click turns into an actual visit
A dash (—) just means there isn't enough data yet to show a figure for that stat.
Adding a segment to Single Customer View 🥳
There are two ways to add a segment to this page, depending on whether the segment already exists.
1. Add an existing segment
Click the Add segment button in the top right of the page.
A pop-up will appear titled "Add segments to Single Customer View".
Click the Select segments dropdown and choose the segment you want from the list. This list shows every segment you've already created.
Once you've picked one, click Add to Single Customer View and it'll appear as a new card.
2. Create a brand new segment
Click the Create segment button in the top right of the page.
A panel will slide out titled "Who do you want to find?"
Type in the group of guests you're looking for, using plain English, just like you would when creating a segment normally. For example:
"Top spenders who haven't visited in 90 days"
"Guests aged 60 and over"
Airship AI will build the segment for you, and it will then you can choose whether you want this segment to appear on your Single Customer View page
⏱ Worth knowing: Just like segments created elsewhere in Airship, a brand new segment won't have any stats straight away. The numbers are worked out overnight, so check back the next day to see the full picture.
Removing a segment from the view
Click the X icon (see picture below for reference) in the top right of any card to remove it from Single Customer View.
This only removes it from this page. It doesn't delete the segment itself, you'll still find it in the segment library under Create & manage.
Downloading a segment from the view
Click the download icon (see picture below for reference) near the top right of any card to download a PNG image of that card to your desktop.
This can be useful to have a snapshot of the current data to include on external reports you want to do.
Questions?
If a card is showing lots of dashes instead of numbers, it's worth checking:
Has the segment had time to process? New segments show their first results the morning after you create them.
Does the segment have any guests in it? A segment with very few (or no) guests may not have enough data to calculate some stats.
