Switching on the OpenTable Guest Centre / Airship connector means that each time a customer makes a booking, the contact, booking and purchase data will be automatically sent to your Airship database.

Fees

There are additional API fees from Opentable. You would need 'Gold' or 'Platinum' API package to get this integration set up. Contact your Opentable Account Manager for more information.

Getting started

To get started, provide confirmation in writing to your OpenTable Account Manager that your data can be shared with Airship, requesting that OpenTable send API access details to Airship.

After confirmation has been provided, OpenTable will provide Airship with API access. Airship will then configure your account to automatically retrieve data from OpenTable daily.

Tags

OpenTable has a tagging feature that allows an OpenTable user to segment customers, these are referred to as ‘Guest Tags’ and ‘Visit Tags’ in Opentable. Airship pulls these in and drops customer records into a group with the tag name (using the format ‘Tags - {tag name}’ whenever we see a user or booking tagged.

Experiences

Opentable can associate a booking to an ‘experience’. When Airship pulls a booking in, if it has an experience associated we will add the contact to a group with the experience name (using the format ‘Experience - {experience name}’)

View your data in Airship

Once the connector is enabled, you will be able to see data flowing into your Airship account, by navigating to Folders & Groups.

You’ll be able to select your Booking/OpenTable Group to see contacts within that Group that have been added via the OpenTable connector.

Under the OpenTable Tags folder, you will be able to see a group for each corresponding OpenTable tag. Additionally you will be able to see any contacts with a Tag or Experience associated in the relevant groups.

Historic Data

Our integration with Opentable can also import historic data from Opentable when you first activate the connection with us. Let Airship Customer Success know what date you want it to be imported from.
