How to set up the Airship connector in tripleseat

How to automatically send contact and booking data from tripleseat to your Airship database in real time

Written by Lorna Fox

Getting started

Before the integration can be setup, reach out to Airship as we need to create a configuration file before the rest of the steps can be completed. Once confirmed, we will provide you with a URL;

  1. Webhook URL (This is used for tripleseat to send us data)

Following that, you will need to complete a couple more actions outlined below to complete the setup

  • Approve Airship access

  • Create Webhook

  • Obtain Location IDs

Approve Airship access

Within Airship, you will see a menu item under Settings > Tripleseat Authentication

Select this, and then the Connect Tripleseat button, which will take you to the Tripleseat platform to authorise our connection.

Note, you might be required to login to your tripleseat account first if your session has expired.

Once logged in, you'll be asked to Approve our Apps access - select Authorize

You'll be given a confirmation, and thats the first step done!

Create Webhook

Follow these steps to get setup the webhooks and get the signing secret:

  • Go to tripleseat Dashboard > Settings > Resources

  • Click on tripleseat API / Webhooks

    • You may be asked to complete 2 Factor Authentication here to get access to the following screen

  • On the tripleseat API / Webhooks page select the Webhooks tab, then Add Webhook.

  • Select ‘Create Event’ and ‘Update Event’ in the Event Actions, add the webhook URL link that was provided to you by Airship in ‘Your Target URL’ and click ‘Create’.

  • Take a note of Signing Key (webhook secret) - you will need to share it with the Airship team.

Obtain Location IDs

  • To get Location IDs, go to Settings > Locations > View Location and Room IDs (located at the top right corner of the page)

Provide this list to Airship

Now you will have all the relevant details needed to set this integration up, Airship will update your configuration file and any new or updated bookings will start filtering through.

View your data in Airship

Once the connector is enabled, you will be able to see data flowing into your Airship account, by navigating to Folders & Groups.

To access your Contact Folders in Airship, scroll down to Audiences in the main menu and select Folders & Groups.

You’ll be able to select your Bookings folder to see contacts that have been added via the tripleseat connector. The name of the folder may vary for your particular account set-up.

Booking Status

tripleseat has more booking statuses in its system compared to Airship. Airship stores three main booking statuses: New, Confirmed, and Cancelled. These statuses are mapped accordingly, as shown in the table below. For example, when Airship receives a booking from tripleseat with the status "Prospect", it will be stored as "New".

Please note that Airship does not differentiate between certain tripleseat statuses, such as Tentative, Definite, Closed, and Waitlist - all of these will be stored as Confirmed in Airship.
