What is the Performance Dashboard? π€
The Performance Dashboard is where all your metrics come together in one place.
Each metric you've set up (including the ones we've added to your account by default) shows as a tile on this page, giving you a live view of what's happening across your business.
You can see an example of how it looks below, with a mix of chart types depending on what each metric is tracking.
Each tile shows:
The name of the metric
A chart of how it's trending
A label in the top right corner - like Stable, Upwards, or Downwards - so you can spot changes at a glance.
Adding and managing metrics β
The + Add metric and Manage metrics buttons in the top right let you create new metrics and manage your existing ones.
β¨ For full details on how to do this, see our About Metrics guide. β¨
Pre-added metrics
When the new Performance Dashboard goes live on your account, you don't need to do anything to set it up. It comes with a default layout of nine helpful charts to get you started. They are:
Email Conversion Percentage shows how well your emails are turning into venue visits
Total Contacts is a bar split into people you can contact by email and people you can't
Email Engagement Average Click Rate is your typical click rate for recent emails
Contactable by email is the number of people on your database you can send emails to
Email Engagement Average Open Rate is your typical email open rate
PoPs by type is a donut chart showing what's driving venue visits, split by Booking, Purchase, Wifi Interaction and Voucher (depending on what your account uses)
Email Engagement Click Rate Over the Last [period] shows how your click rate has moved over a longer period
Email Engagement Open Rate Over the Last [period] shows the same for opens
Customers by PoP segment shows how many of your customers fall into each loyalty tier (Prospect, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Lapsed)
This default layout works well for most venues, but it's only a starting point.
You can resize, remove, or add new metrics whenever you like.
When do the metrics update? π
The data on your dashboard refreshes automatically every night at midnight.
You'll see a small "Refreshed" timestamp at the bottom of each tile so you know exactly when it was last updated.
This means the numbers you're looking at each morning reflect everything that happened the day before.
Moving and resizing tiles π±οΈ
You can drag tiles around to reposition them, and resize them to make some bigger or smaller depending on how much attention they deserve.
β οΈ Worth knowing: The dashboard layout is shared across your whole Airship account. If someone else on your team logs in and moves things around, adds a metric, or removes one, every user will see those changes. The layout always reflects what the most recent person did.
When you're happy with the layout, click the green Save Layout button in the top right to lock it in.
Exporting your Performance dashboard π₯
Clicking Export saves a PNG image of your full dashboard as it currently looks on screen.
A few things to know:
It captures the whole page as one image - you can't export individual tiles separately
The image reflects exactly what's on screen at that moment, including the current layout
π‘ Good to know: This is a handy one for you marketers. If you're putting together a presentation or a report for a leadership meeting, you can export the dashboard and drop the image straight into a slide deck or document to show how the business is performing.
