How to run a report π
Click on a category on the sidebar and locate the report you want to run.
Each report will have different parameters for you to pick from such as a Date Range to pull the date from.
In this example we have gone to the Campaigns section and clicked Email campaign monthly summary.
To run the report click the blue Run report button.
After clicking run report you will see the report pending for download.
To stop the pending report you can click the red Delete button, if needed.
Once the download is complete the pending label will change to 'New'. You will also see View and Download buttons appear.
Note: If the View button isn't visible, it'll be because your report is too large to display in your browser, so you can only pick the download report option.
A couple things to mention:
β° Reports usually stay available for download for up to 24 hours. After this the View and download buttons will disappear and you'll need to re-run the report.
β° Most reports download within a few minutes.
β° But for larger reports containing lots of data, or during busy periods on the Airship server, it might take upwards of a few hours.
π You can click away from the reports page or log out anytime and re-visit the page to see if it's finished downloading.
Clicking View allows you to see the report in your Airship dashboard. This'll take you to another page within the dashboard where you can view the report.
To download the report as a CSV file, click the Download button.
You will see the CSV file in your download file on your desktop. Click it to open the report on your spreadsheet program (e.g. Google Sheets or Excel).
When your report is open on your spreadsheet program you can then edit the report as needed to make it easy to read, create graphs from etc.
π‘As an idea - if the data doesn't contain Personally Identifiable Information (PII) about your customers - why not run it through an AI program (if you use any) to analyse the data instantly. π
After you've viewed or downloaded your report you can still delete it from the downloads list by clicking the red Delete button.
Who can download reports on my account?
Anyone on the Airship support team can access and download your reports (if you request help, for example).
Users who have the right permissions on your account can also access and download reports on your account.
To find out which users have access to the reports, go to Settings > Users & roles > Manage roles to find out which user roles have the option to access reports.
Then you can cross-reference this to the user role assigned to each user on the account under the 'Manage users' section.
It will be the 'Reports' option that allows users to access reports.
