How to automatically send data from your Captive WIFI platform to Airship

Switching on the Captive WIFI x Airship connector means that each time a customer is detected on your WIFI, the customer data will be automatically sent to your Airship database.


Fees


Captive WiFi is now able to send Feedback data to Airship but there are additional costs involved on their side. Please speak to your Captive WiFi Account Manager for more information.

Getting Started

The integration will run in near real time, and update your database.

In order to setup the Captive WIFI integration, you will need the following details from Airship;

  • Airship Personal Access Token (Read + Write)

  • Airship Account ID

  • Airship unit IDs

Creating an API token

You'll need to create an API "Personal Access Token" for Captive WIFI to pass data into your account securely. To do this. you can either;

A) Invite your Captive WIFI account manager as a user to your Airship account and let them do this themselves, or;

B) You can do this on their behalf and pass the token on to them securely.

Airship Account ID

Captive WIFI will require your Airship Account ID. If you're not sure what this is, please request it from our Customer Success team.

Airship Unit IDs

Captive WIFI will require your Airship Unit IDs. If you're not sure what these are, please request it from our Customer Success team.


What data is sent to Airship?

  • First name

  • last name

  • Gender

  • DoB

  • Mobile number

  • Email address

  • Email opt-in

  • SMS opt-in

PoP is also created when a contact is received.

View your data in Airship

Contacts are sorted into Folders & Groups against the visited venue, in the group 'WIFI'

From here, you can select your contacts - view all profile details against them.
