Airship Journeys centralises your automated emails in one place. Welcome and Birthday journeys will have been moved into their own dedicated journeys already. If you had other automated emails (like date triggers) active before Journeys was enabled though, Airship automatically placed them into an Unassigned Journey to ensure they kept sending without interruption.
While they are still functioning perfectly, moving them into specific Journeys is important in order to make your marketing suite much easier to navigate.
Moving unassigned emails
1. Identify Your Unassigned Emails
Before moving anything, check what’s currently in limbo:
Navigate to Journeys in your Airship account.
Click on the Unassigned Journey to view the list of active emails.
Take note of which emails should be grouped together
2. Create a Destination Journey
If a relevant Journey (like "Welcome" or "Birthday") doesn't already exist, you’ll need to create one:
Click Create New Journey.
Name your journey: Give it a clear, descriptive title.
Customise: Choose an icon and colour to help distinguish it on your dashboard.
Click Save.
3. Move the Emails
Once your destination Journey is ready:
Open the Target Journey (e.g., your new "Welcome" journey).
Click Add Broadcast and select Move Existing.
A list will appear showing all emails across your account (including those in the Unassigned folder).
Select the relevant emails you wish to move.
Click Save.
These emails will now be removed from the Unassigned Journey and will live permanently in their new home.
Repeat these steps until your Unassigned Journey is empty. This ensures that every automated touchpoint is categorised, making performance reporting and content updates significantly faster.
