This feature allows contacts, when unsubscribing, to choose whether they want to opt out of emails from a specific location or from the entire account.
With this feature enabled, a unit dropdown will appear on the Unsubscribe page.
Account-Level Opt-Out: If someone unsubscribes from the entire account, their email opt-in will be set to "N," and they will no longer receive any emails from the account.
Unit-Level Opt-Out: If someone opts out of emails from a specific location, they will continue to receive emails from the account but not from that particular location.
However, this feature is only available when the email content is merged from a specific unit location, not from head office. This is determined on an email-by-email, recipient-by-recipient basis at the time of sending. For emails sent directly from head office, test sends from the email builder (which always merge from head office regardless of where they're initiated), or any email where the merge decision resolves to head office, recipients will not see the unit selection option on the unsubscribe page. In multi-location campaigns such as favourite location emails, some recipients may have access to unit level unsubscribe selection while others don't, depending on which location their content merged from.
Viewing Status
You can view opt-out statuses on the dashboard. If you go on a contact's profile page, a new button will appear where you can see if they are subscribed to particular locations:
Reporting
A new report, Unit Level Unsubscribe, shows all contacts who have unsubscribed during a specified time period. The report includes the time of the unsubscribe and the locations they are currently unsubscribed from.
