How to add a contact to a specific group

Sometimes you'll need to add a contact to a group - here's how to do this.

If you have a contact that's already on your Airship account and you want to add them to another group, this guide will show you how to do this.

1. Search the contact via the Overview page using the search bar (you can search the contact by their email address or mobile number).

2. Once you find the right contact, under the 'Groups' section (scroll down the page a bit to see it) click on the blue Assign to group button.

You'll then see a list of all the groups you have set up on your Airship account drop down with a tick box next to each one.

These groups show up in alphabetical order.

Find the group(s) you want to add your contact to and tick the box next to it. You can select as many groups as needed.

After selecting the group(s) scroll to the bottom of the list and click the blue Update button.

After that, the contact will be added to the group(s) and you'll be redirected back to the top of the contact's page you are on.

If you want to see the new group(s) the contact has just been added to, click the blue 'Show assigned groups' button (found under the 'Groups' section of the contact's page you're on).
